Best Recommended Budget Hotels in Central Bangkok

When it comes to traveling to anywhere in the world - staying in a hotel in a big city equates to spending lots of money. Not so in Bangkok. There are hundreds of hotels in central Bangkok today slashing room rates at every which way to attract travelers into their rooms. And with so many hotels in Bangkok today with low occupancy room rates you can easily find the usual non budget hotels offering budget discounted rates.

One of the best newest hotel in central Bangkok is called Hope Land Executive Apartments. Yes, even though it is really an apartment complex you will still receive the same hotel hospitality you would normally receive at a 4 star hotel. Though Hope Land is meant for longer term stay, tourist on a short holiday trip are still just as welcome. As of writing Hope Land has reduced their room rates to as low as 1080 Baht per night. Pay a few hundred Baht more and you'll get yourself a buffet breakfast ticket for the morning. This hotel property is fresh and new with a great pool and well equipped fitness center with the latest workout equipments.

Though Hope Land is located in central Bangkok it is still on a quiet end with not much to do around the area. Fortunately there is a Sky Train station not too far from the hotel entrance to get you to most popular tourist attractions in the city.

If you're looking for a budget hotel closer to the heart of the city then Sawasdee Langsuan would be a good choice. Sawasdee Langsuan is surrounded by some of the most expensive hotels, restaurants and luxury shopping malls. It's not the newest hotel nor the best shape but the rooms and services are adequate enough to make one feel comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. A standard room at the Sawasdee Langsuan will only set you back 1000 Baht and usually includes a free simple breakfast in the morning.

Another good budget hotel choice in central Bangkok is the Manhattan Hotel - which is near the ever popular Sukhumvit Road where many businesses cater to foreigners. It is also located close to 2 of Bangkok's infamous red light districts called Nana and Soi Cowboy. The Manhattan Hotel is a large property popular with tour groups. Suffice to say it is a well used hotel which has seen a lot of wear and tear but the hotel itself is remarkably well maintained with professional staff. There's even a pool to use and a standard room cost less than 1000 Baht with a free breakfast. Plus a Sky Train station is not too far either. So Manhattan Hotel is quite a bargain.

There are many other budget hotels in central Bangkok. To find better room rates it is best to book through a hotel reservation agency - especially ones that are based in Thailand. These agencies are able to provide discounted room rates since they work to sell rooms for hotels through a wholesale network. Also room rates are much lower from April to late August which is the low season.
