Travelocity launches "Top Secret" Hotels But it can really save 45 percent?

I have long "been a fan of masked service hotel booking sites like Priceline and Hotwire. If you are not familiar with the concept, here's how it works. Before booking you will be assigned to reserve some information about the hotel is in the process, but not all information. Usually, you know the general vicinity of the hotel and the hotel category. In the case of Hotwire, there are also pool for a list of hotel services such asRestaurant on site, shuttle service to the airport, and so on. If you like the price, you can make a reservation and therefore know the hotel name and specific location.

This is not for everyone. If you think you might want to cancel your reservation, do not worry about these sites, why are not refundable, most of the time. Also, if you want to join your friends or colleagues on a specific hotel, do not use "masked hotel reservation services. But if you know anythingFlexible to your situation and confident, do not change your plans are, then these services are great. I use these sites for many years and have saved a lot of money in the process.

Travelocity is the latest offering of masked 'hotel' hotel reservations with a service called Top Secret. Top Secret hotel actually was offered for their site about 3 or 4 months, but I wanted to leave work nodes and the first to write a review.

Adiscover firsthand when Travelocity's Top Secret hotel was good competition and I could save up to 45%, I had their service for a trip of two nights to come to San Francisco, California. My approach was simple: I have the same reservations, hotels Research Priceline, Hotwire and Travelocity (with regular and Top Secret). My results were very disappointing:

Selection: First, Top Secret hotel has only 14 cities in the selection, 10that are in the U.S. and four from Canada. I was fortunate that San Francisco made the list. When I conducted my research, there were only two Top Secret hotels available in all of San Francisco. Hotwire has 25 hotels, Priceline had 158, and regular reservation system Travelocity had 286 hotels.

Price: The real purpose of using "masked booking system is to save. Why else would someone book a hotel thatcancel and do not know the name of the facility or location? The Top Secret 2 hotels average $ 240/night. The other positions are equal (or higher) hotel at 50 percent or less of the top secret prices Travelocity. So much for saving 45%

Area: Masked hotel reservation systems do not release the exact location of the structure until after the purchase, but they give you a general area where the hotel is located. For example, Hotwire Breaks the heart of San Francisco in eight areas and will notify you before purchase, which of these eight areas of your hotel is located. Priceline breaks downtown San Francisco in seven areas. Travelocity - Just a territory that extends from the Golden Gate Bridge in Redwood City. In other words, book your hotel in San Francisco and you could find a town located 25 miles outside.

Information about the hotel: It 's been very little information on either Top Secret> Hotels in my test search. Unlike the Star Hotel, it was not another hotel amenities and details are provided, although it was given a non-smoking hotel. Talk about the top secret! Compare this with Hotwire, where comfort is in every hotel. In fact, Hotwire, you can identify the hotel before making a reservation inventory, adding information with Hotwire's Hotel HotelDealsRevealed.

Top Secret Hotel Travelocity naturally has a lot of work. For credit Travelocity, have publicly declared their intention to grow and expand their offerings. I hope true. You have a long way to go. Meanwhile, continue with the other boys.
